Becky Bliss is a graphic designer and jewellery artist based in Wellington.

After completing a Bachelor of Applied Arts at Whitireia Community Polytechnic in 2010, Bliss was selected to be part of the ground-breaking international mentorship programme for emerging jewellery artists, Handshake.

This two-year commitment saw Bliss working closely with Italian contemporary art jeweller Fabrizio Tridenti, developing a body of experimental work using combinations of traditional materials, found materials and constructed materials such as plaster resin.

In recent years Bliss has exhibited extensively in New Zealand and in Australia, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, the Czech Republic, China and the USA.

I love the juxtaposition of seemingly unrelated shapes, colours and materials. When they are put together, I find they spark an emotional response in people depending on their own personal histories.
