Vincent Gontier - "Sketches"

Sculptor Vincent Gontier from Grenoble, France, is on an exchange visit to New Zealand. Along with AVID artist Johnny Turner, he is the 2011 winner of French art project, « Ronde d'Un Art du Monde ». This cultural exchange programme is run by the village of La Tour du Pin, and provides for Gontier to visit NZ and then Turner to visit France. AVID has been fortunate to secure these small examples of Gontier's work, which he calls "Sketches". They are made of compressed newspaper and steel. The sculptures are on display for a limited time only.
