Renee Pearson

Renée Pearson grew up in a small village in the southern alps of New Zealand. Her formative years exploring the surrounding environment fostered a love for the natural landscape which continues to be a major influence in her work.

Pearson’s current jewellery and object work focusses on stone carving, with occasional additions of found objects and silver incorporated into the pieces. She commonly uses Greywacke, the most abundant stone in New Zealand.

In 2018 Pearson was a recipient of the prestigious Talente Award for her work The Last Supper.

She completed a Certificate in Design at Christchurch Polytechnic in 2012 and is currently completing a Bachelor of Applied Arts at Te Auaha, Wellington.
